MSO Delegation met Asif who was tortured while drinking water in the temple.

New Delhi. A delegation of Muslim Students Organization of India (MSO), India’s largest Muslim student body, led by National President Shujaat Ali Quadri, today met with Asif’s family, who fell victim to communal hatred in Dasna, Ghaziabad, UP.

Shujaat Ali Quadri said that the police has registered a case against the accused under minor sections while cases like this should be registered in grievous sections but it is not happening. That is why the spirits of anti-social elements are on a rise.

Muhammad Modassir Ashrafi, vice-president of MSO Delhi unit in the delegation, said that the Human Rights Commission and the Minorities Commission should take cognizance of this incident. Children of minority communities in the country are now being made victims of violence. Instead of giving justice, the police is also engaged in shuffling the case.

Senior journalist Wasim Akram Tyagi wanted to meet Asif and get information about the incident but Asif is still scared. He said that fear could be clearly seen on Asif’s face. He demanded fair compensation from the state government to Asif and his family.
